INTRODUCTION TO BUSINESS SIMULATION FOR DESISION MAKERS
Welcome,
As part of your leadership program, you will be managing a virtual company. Your team will have to set business strategy, analyze your marketplace, develop integrated tactics across all functional areas of business and set the measures by which your success will be measured. In business today it is not enough to be a competent specialist. We all need to be proficient business people as well. The best way to learn business is to run a business-experience is the best teacher. That's why we've included this simulation in your seminar.

Objectives: At the end of your simulation experience, you will have:

A real understanding of the financial implications of decisions made in all functional areas of a business.
An ability to read financial statements and draw intelligence from the financial data presented on your own and your competitors' businesses.
An appreciation for the importance of strategy as the driver behind all tactical business decisions.
An experience of your strengths and weaknesses as group leaders and team players as you make decisions under pressure, in a dynamic and competitive environment.
If you have already done a business simulation, this will not be a duplicate experience. Each simulated business, like each real-world business, is unique. The competition will be different, the marketplace different and you are guaranteed to have a completely different experience.

Before the program we need to you spend a few hours learning the simulation software so you can concentrate on strategy and tactics during the program. Don’t leave this to your teammates. The better prepared you are, the more you will learn and the larger the contribution you will make to your team’s success.
