Use the Capsim Simulation Experience to enhance business management courses.
The Capsim business simulations, Capstone, Foundation, and
Comp-XM, have an impressive track record. Over 500 schools trust the Capsim business simulations in their curriculum and nearly 600,000 students have learned from them.
Experience what professors at Penn State, Berkeley, Baylor, Northwestern, and hundreds of schools around the world have already discovered. Capsim simulations are economical, accessible, and sufficiently challenging enough to enrich the students' experience while engaging them emotionally and intellectually.
Professors and instructors find that the extraordinary support of the Capsim curriculum team helps facilitate an easy and effective simulation experience for them, and therefore their students. Live training and support is always available for instructors before and during the semester.
Led by professors who know the challenges professors and instructors face, the Capsim team assists in every way possible to:
- Select and implement the right business simulations to support the class level and course focus
- Provide assurance of learning tools that align with many of the school’s accreditation guidelines
- Provide unparalleled support, coaching, and video tips to facilitate instructor delivery of the simulation
- Provide extensive telephone and online business coaching and technical help for students
- Reduce class preparation time
Professors discover quickly that Capsim simulations:
- Are enjoyable and easy to teach and grade
- Are a great value to students at about one-third the cost of many textbooks
- Provide positive feedback and evaluations
Capsim business simulations are used individually
or in sequence.
Many professors begin their courses with Foundation as the introduction to business. Capstone is then commonly introduced into the curriculum as either part of the capstone course or as simply a higher and more complicated level of learning. Comp-XM is used as the final exam. This type of scenario is also found at schools that use the Capsim simulations department-wide.
Whatever the choice, the Capsim client management team is available to assist and coordinate the simulation integration at any level of preference.
The Foundation simulation experience is an engaging, immersive exploration of core business processes. Foundation introduces business fundamentals in research and development, marketing, production, finance, strategy, tactics, leadership and teamwork. Learn more.
The Capstone simulation experience is richer in scope than Foundation, yet similar in structure. Participants in a Capstone business simulation find themselves faced with more strategy-based decision making because of the introduction of more products, more market segments and advanced modules in labor negotiation and marketing. Learn more.
The Comp-XM simulation experience is an exam, is taken individually, and helps schools demonstrate Assurance of Learning. It is a condensed business simulation and is generally given near the end of a course - a good time to assess business judgment and analytical skills. Comp-XM has two components / parts: a four-round simulation, and series of board query questions that are generated from the unique results of each student’s decisions. Learn more.
