Page 1 of 5 The Foundation.xls decision areas and reports are accessed via the menu at the top of the display. Shortcuts to the decision areas/reports are also available from an icon palette on the right of the display. Passing your cursor over each icon reveals a label describing its function.
Foundation Menu
The Foundation Menu launches the Coach, an interactive assistant who will help you learn how to use the spreadsheets.
File
• Save Decisions: You can save decisions directly to the website (recommended), or, for Practice and Competition rounds, to a file on your local machine (occasionally firewall settings on your computer or network prevent the spreadsheet from saving directly to the website — the website's Download area offers suggestions for adjusting firewall settings).
• View Decisions: This selection opens the website's Decision File Audit Trail, which tracks decision uploads for the entire company.
• Exit Foundation: Please use this selection (or the Exit icon on the tool palette) when exiting Foundation.xls.
View
• Full Screen
• Normal: Allows the Excel window to be resized and minimized.
Undo
• Undo to last save
• Undo to start of round: Erases all decisions for the round.
