As academic institutions continue to navigate the effects of COVID-19, Capsim wants to help ensure that every instructor can deliver the same high-quality learning experience online they are accustomed to in the classroom.
Below, you can see details of the support measures we have introduced so far, along with a set of resources we hope will help you adapt to these times.
We know that everyone’s circumstances are different, and if you have suggestions for how we can better support you, please let us know by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org. Our leadership team reads every message we receive. We promise to listen to your concerns, learn from your feedback, and continually look for ways for all of us to navigate this situation with empathy.
One of the largest areas of concern with moving courses online is fostering effective team collaboration and monitoring individual contributions.
That’s why we are offering any instructor the ability to use our standalone team evaluation tool, TeamMATE, free of charge through June 2021.
This online, self-directed assessment is an easy and effective way to monitor team dynamics and individual contributions in an online setting.
We’ve added CapsimChat, a new feature allowing team members to communicate and collaborate how they feel most comfortable — without having to leave the simulation.
Online and blended education expert, Dr. Tawnya Means, shares best practices to incorporate and pitfalls to avoid when moving your course online. As a Capsim power user, she showcases how she delivers her Capsim courses virtually and answer attendee questions.
We’re offering all instructors free access to CapsimInbox: Time Management, an inbox simulation that measures your students’ time management skills in as little as 30 mintues.
We are currently working on creating new instructional videos to help streamline the administration and delivery of your course. These videos will help you introduce the simulation in your class and walk students through key concepts needed to be successful.
A great way to streamline the administration of our products is by integrating Capsim with your Learning Management System (e.g., Blackboard, Moodle, Canvas, Schoology, etc.).
This connection allows you and your students to access Capsim directly from your LMS — ensuring students always land in the right section without the need for extra login credentials.
LMS integration is handled on a first-come, first-served basis.
We’re providing all Capstone users with our premium Capstone Course Bundle, free of charge, through June 2021.
This bundle includes several resources that highlight key business topics and expand classroom discussion on relevant issues tied to the simulation:
A reminder, Foundation users can utilize our Introduction to Business Bundle. This bundle includes many resources to streamline course administration and increase student engagement:
