240+ Professors Compete for a $5K Scholarship and Free CapsimCore Licenses

More than 240 college business professors from over 200 schools faced off in a business simulation competition to win their school a $5,000 scholarship and free CapsimCore ™ licenses for their class.

Professors had the chance to put their business acumen to the test while test driving CapsimCore, Capsim’s newest business simulation. Officially launched on August 1, CapsimCore is a simulation focused on creating a fun and engaging learning environment for entry-level business courses.

With a plethora of strategy simulations already in the market today, Capsim recognized a need for something simpler. Jordan Novak, Director of Product Development said, “Students in entry-level business courses are just beginning to learn skills like finance, so we built CapsimCore taking that into account. Now students unfamiliar with business concepts and terminology can experience what it’s like to manage a business before taking any senior-level courses.”

The challenge lasted over two months and the reception from instructors was positive overall. “The challenge was a huge success. We received great feedback from the community and a lot of demand for more opportunities like this – so instructors should keep an eye out for more challenges in the near future,” said Corey Lynn, Director of Marketing & Communications at Capsim.
